My aunt, Barbara Black, had a long time friendship with Margaret. Barb met Margaret at RIC, where she worked as well. I visited my aunt in Chicago from a very young age, and knew Margaret when I was a child, up through my high school years when I moved away to go to college. I have many fond memories of Margaret accompanying my aunt, my grandmother, and my sister to the Lincoln Park Zoo, as well as other fun outings in Chicago. It was always fun to have her join us on our adventures! On behalf of my Aunt Barb, and my sister and I, we send our condolences and wishing Margaret peace. Barb has some health issues as I write this today, but I know she would have wanted to attend the Memorial Service if she were able. I hope that it is a special day of remembrance.

I never got to meet Margaret, some horrible childhood happenings I knew nothing about must have transpired and she severed her ties with her family. I married her brother, Michael who was haunted by his childhood demons also. They are all in heaven now, the entire family. May she be at peace. Thank you very much to her friends who stepped up to help her in her time of need.

Hi Sherry-I was a friend of Margaret's from RIC and saw her for lunch about once a month for the last few years of her life. I just found this page and would be interested in knowing if there is going to be a service or anything when placing her ashes at Rosehill Cemetery. Can you please keep me posted. My sister was also a friend of Margaret's and we miss her.
