Background
The best way to honor and remember Peg is by paying it forward. Peg supported her daughter Ellen’s love and commitment to dance for over 40 years. In the early years Peg worked at the dance studio in return for extra classes and costumes for her daughter. Soon she was advocating for others with any resource she could find from donations, to grants, to payment plans. As Ellen moved from student to teacher to choreographer Peg worked the office and every recital solving each crisis with a smile. In every way she was everyone’s Dance Mom; students, teachers and parents. This was Peg being Peg. In later years as a resident of Bayberry Assisted Living in Tewksbury. Ellen would bring her class to Peg. Pre-Covid-19 classes were held in the dining area for the all residents to enjoy. More recently classes were held outside with residents filling the windows to watch performances. What was meant to bring Peg and the residents a moment of dance joy deeply touched the hearts of the staff and more so those who performed.
Our goal is to raise funds in Peg’s memory to keep dancers of all ages dancing. We will work with area dance studios to identify and support students who have a financial need for as long as the funds raised will allow. We are grateful for your generosity. Contribute
