Margaret E. Ward Welsh, age 96, passed on Dec 19, 2021 of pneumonia covid. She was born and raised in the Old Tenth Ward, the 12th child of Mary and John Ward. She was married to Judge James J. Welsh Jr.(deceased) and divorced after 17 years. Later in life she and Alex Nolfi (deceased ) became life partners. Marg loved singing and dancing; at parties and affairs she would always be on the dance floor or singing on stage. She belonged to the old Keith's Roof Dance Club in the 1940's and was a very popular dancer. She and her dear friend, Bill Jensen, were still jitterbugging into their early 90's.

Marg also belonged to the Let's Dance Club, numerous Women's Clubs, and the Telephone Pioneers Club for Life.

She was a lifelong Democrat and a member of Old 10Th Ward Club. She loved to travel the world and visited numerous countries near and far. Her favorite destination was County Cork, Ireland, home of her ancestors. She is survived by her caretaker Mike Puopolo and over 100 nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews also numerous friends.

Per her request there will be no services. Her favorite charity was St Jude for children.
