Peggy's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret "Peggy" Dubeau, who left us peacefully on December 20, 2025. Born on September 24, 1942, Peggy's charismatic personality and loving nature left indelible marks on the hearts of all who knew her.
Peggy was a shining beacon of love, kindness, and generosity. She was passionate about helping others and entirely devoted to her family—a great accomplishment that she was incredibly proud of. Her radiant smile and warmhearted spirit were her defining traits, making her a beloved member of her community. She was an avid fan of country music, particularly Willie Nelson, and supported the Red Sox with a loyalty unmatched. A seasoned shuffleboard player, Peggy enjoyed spending her time at the Westerly Senior Center where she played shuffleboard every week with her daughter, Michelle, as well as volunteering her time there. She was also a devote Christian, studying the bible - most recently having read the entire bible - which she was very proud of.
Peggy's memory will be cherished by her son, Michael Dubeau, and her daughters, Laurie Beck and Michelle Stanley. Her grandchildren, Rachel Leighty, Christopher Dubeau, Melissa Dubeau Snider, Jamie Hawley, Rebecca Oborne, Sarah Oborne, Austin Beck, and Matthew Beck, and her many great-grandchildren will forever hold their grandmother close in their hearts. She is survived and will be forever remembered by her partner, Michael Edwards, and her sister, Patricia Dupee.
Peggy was predeceased by her dear spouse, Theodore Thomas; her loving parents, Orville and Mary Gadway; her sister, Theresa LaBombard; brother, Herbert Gadway; and grandson, Ryan Beck.
Peggy's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her love-filled legacy lives on in the lives of those she touched. Her love for her family and community, her passion for lending a helping hand, and her unwavering spirit will continue to inspire us all. She will be greatly missed.
