Margaret's obituary
Heaven gained a beautiful lady as our mother Margaret was brought home yesterday. She has always been the center of our family as an amazing Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. We will all miss her endless love and dancing to 50’s music in the kitchen at Devils Lake while making delicious meals, but we will miss her amazing laugh most of all. If we ever lost her in a crowd, we could find her in 5 minutes by listening for her laugh that always made people smile.
Mom had many beliefs that defined how she lived her life: “Life is not a rehearsal“, “Always step up, never step back”, “You only live once, but if you do it right, then once is enough”. She didn’t just say it, she did it right. She left an impression on everyone that she met that they were instantly part of her family and that she made them feel like the most important person in the room. Mom lived a very full and happy life and had no regrets. She lived to create fun and lasting traditions with our Christmas Eve party for 48 years, Soup Cook-off, Thanksgivings full of turkey pranks, Easter candy & cakes made with her grandchildren, and of all the summer parties at the lake making Margaret-ritas and her Red Hen lemonade. She was never more full of joy than when she was hosting a party with her family and friends.
Mom loved her FRAMILY (Friends & Family) with 100% of her heart and she told us to make sure that you all know that “She Loves You More”. We have a void in our hearts that is too big to fill, but we are blessed to have had her in our life for as long as we did. We all know she is celebrating in heaven with all of her friends and family that have been waiting for her and will be looking down to make sure that we continue enjoying life as she taught us.
Margaret is survived by her loving Husband Roger (married 58+ wonderful years), Daughters - Jami (Kevin), Kelly (Chris), Grandchildren - Kylie (Jake), Alex (Megan), Paige (Nick), Jesse (Callie), Great-Grandchildren - Lucas & Bennett and Step-Brother Phil (Margaret).
Rest in peace mom… We and everyone who knew you “love you most”.
A celebration of Life is being planned for March 9 in Jackson, Michigan
