Background

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Helen Campbell-Dimitrie, a beloved mother, grandmother, stepmother, lifelong partner, and friend. Margaret passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Margaret was the proud mother of two children (Joseph & Jessy (Joey)) and the loving stepmother of two (Steve (Mary) & Janette (Ryan)). She cherished her role as a grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren (Zoey, Lauren, Elise & Liam) with one more on the way (Maeve). Her family was her world, and she loved them fiercely, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being.

Margaret shared a special bond with her lifelong partner, Russ, who stood by her side through the many joys and challenges of life. Their love and devotion to one another were evident to all who knew them, and their partnership was a true testament to the strength and beauty of a loving relationship.

Known for her vibrant spirit and zest for life, Margaret was truly a little firecracker – a nickname and tattoo she wore proudly, a symbol of her fiery energy and bold personality. She loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends, whether around a warm fire or enjoying the serene beauty of the lake. Her joy for life was contagious, and she always knew how to have a good time, bringing laughter and warmth wherever she went.

Margaret also shared a unique connection with Sheldon, her beloved turtle, who brought her countless moments of peace and joy. Sheldon was more than just a pet; he was a companion, a symbol of patience, and a reminder of Margaret’s caring and nurturing nature. They had a quiet bond that was cherished by all who witnessed it, and Sheldon will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew them both.

Margaret will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family and friends will forever carry her memory in their hearts, knowing that her love and light will continue to shine, even in her absence.

We invite you to join us in celebrating her life at St. William Parish (531 Common St, Walled Lake, MI 48390) on March 27th at 10:00 AM. Following the service, we will gather for a luncheon at the Fraternal Order of Eagles (1721 Glengary Rd, Wolverine Lake 48390) to share stories, laughter, and fond memories of this incredible woman (Lunch to be served at 1:00PM).

Rest in peace, Margaret. Your spirit will never be forgotten.
