Margaret's obituary
On Saturday February 19, 2022, Margaret Bobier known as Magoo by her friends and family passed away after battling lung and liver cancer in Wilson Hospital in Johnson City New York surrounded by her family at the age of 70.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Suzanna (Jonathan)White of Endicott and Cathleen Bobier of Johnson City; four very special grandchildren whom she adored Rebecca Murphy, Katona Card, Malachi Murphy and Kaylee White and three great grandchildren Anthony, Evelyn and Mara who held very special places in her heart. Margaret is also survived by her siblings Helen Osterhout, Louise Stevens and Clyde Osterhout of Florida. A very dear sister-in-law and friend Christy Osterhout. Her three nieces Tina Stevens, Marlow Gilbert and Claudia Osterhout and one nephew Christopher Osterhout. Also surviving Margaret are her great nieces and great nephews. She is predeceased in death by her parents Clyde L and Helen L Osterhout; her oldest brother Herbert Osterhout and her niece Penny Jayne.
Margaret was born on August 24,1951 in Binghamton, New York. She worked at BAE Systems for 37 years starting in 1984 when it was General Electric. She loved her job; and her co-workers were a second family to her. Her fondest memory was of a work trip to Sweden. This also happened to be the first time she flew on an airplane. Margaret retired in October of 2021.
Margaret loved to bowl; she traveled across the country for many tournaments going as far as Reno Nevada. She loved to sew and cross stitch. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was always there to help anyone when they needed it. She was a very kind, loving and generous person. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
No services are planned at this time. A memorial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to American Cancer society.
