Background
Marilyn loved the out-of-doors and was happiest when exploring nature. She found birds fascinating and a source of great entertainment. Her home of nearly 50 years in Rockville Centre, NY was across from Mill River, where she'd track the birding action at all times of day. A 1997 trip to Costa Rica strengthened her interest, where she and Ted logged 100 types identified! When they moved to Oregon in 2019 to be closer to their daughters, they found the perfect home; bordering a wetlands area attracting many species of birds. Their first day trip in the area? The Portland Audubon Society!
