She attended parochial high school and upon graduation she went with her mother to live in Sweden for a year with her aunt and uncle. Mark unexpectedly passed away at 2 months from pneumonia. In 1961 they moved to Dodge City Kansas where son, Eric, was born in 1964. Shortly after, they moved to Pueblo CO where they settled for the next 12 years. in 1969, daughter Anne was born and completed the family.

Margaret Ann was active in the Lutheran church and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, many civic and fellowship groups, sang in the church choir, hospital volunteer, was a Cub Scout den mother, and hosted many events at their home. She enjoyed skiing, hiking and family vacations at their second home in Aspen. She was known for her faith in God, hospitality and kindness to all that knew her. She made friends wherever she went.

M.A. and family, moved to Topeka, KS in 1977 where they enjoyed many memorable years living on Lake Sherwood. As empty nesters, they lived briefly in Clayton, NM, Liberal, KS, and Wewoka, OK before settling in Greeley, CO for their final years near family.
