Marcus's obituary

Marcus "Mark" Jenkins, born November 25, 1959, passed away on September 22, 2025. Known affectionately as Mark, he always held a preference for his full name, Marcus. In his life, he was a passionate sports fan, and a lover of outdoor activities.

Loved dearly by his surviving sister, Chrisea Hernandez and brother Michael Jenkins Marcus will be remembered fondly. He was predeceased by his parents, Ardena Torrento and Donald Jenkins, and by his sisters, Denna Griffith and Donna Dortch. Marcus not only lost his parents but also his beloved grandparents, Ardis and Fay Knox, as well as Gladys and Roy Jenkins. His Uncle Robert Knox, and Niece Ardena Hernandez too, had left this world before him. Despite these heartfelt losses, Marcus kept the memories of his loved ones alive in his heart.

Marcus held a great love for sports, reflected both in his favorite teams - the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco Giants - and in his personal activities. He enjoyed fishing and had a keen interest in collecting sports cards and memorabilia. His physical activities were varied, including Martial Arts, weight lifting, and playing all sorts of sports.

In his younger years, Marcus was an avid Volley Ball player. He enjoyed coaching Girls Softball, investing his passion for the sport and positively impacting the lives of young athletes. Marcus was also a co-owner, along with his sister, of a sports cards and memorabilia shop named C&M Sportscards and Collectibles. This business venture allowed him to merge his passion for sports and love for collectibles.

Marcus' undying enthusiasm for life, his love for his family, and his passion for sports will be remembered by all who knew him. As we say goodbye to Marcus, we take comfort in knowing that his memories will remain with us, just as he held the memories of his predeceased loved ones in his heart.
