Mark's obituary

Marcos (Mark) Garcia Naranjo, 62, of Burbank, CA, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2023 in his sleep after a battle with a series of health issues.

Mark was born March 9, 1961, in San Fernando, CA. He started his long career at Alpha Beta while attending Sylmar High School and continued through multiple mergers and retired from Albertsons in 2016 after 38 years. He also enjoyed ushering at Dodgers stadium in his early years.

Mark is survived by his mother, Diana Cabrera, son, Marcos, husband, Richard Witt, his two grandchildren, Riley and Briar, and his dog, Lucy. He is preceded in death by his brother Michael.

Mark had a love of cars, travel, and cosmopolitans. He had a beautiful heart, making friends around the world through his charismatic personality. He had a love of dancing, fishing, art, and BBQ. As he grew older, through his various travels, he developed appreciation and interest in local history. These travels also often included local wineries, where he developed his taste for fine wine. Mark was an animal lover, finally getting his dream pet, an English Bulldog, Lucy (his baby) in 2016.

Viewing will be held at Valley Funeral home on August 18, 2023, from 4 PM – 7 PM. Graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills on August 19, 2023, followed by friend and family gathering at his home residence. A celebration of life will be held on September 16, 2023, from 3 PM – 7 PM at his home residence.
