Marcos's obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marcos Lopez, born on October 7, 1947, who left us on April 15, 2026. A beacon of kindness and love, Marcos leaves behind a legacy as rich as his heart.
Marcos is survived by his beloved spouse Julia Gutierrez-Lopez, whom he married in 1993, and their cherished children Cristina Harris, Javier Gutierrez, Guadalupe Lopez, Maria Lopez, Lidia Lopez, Elizabeth Lopez, Emanuel Lopez, Ivan Lopez, Lucia Lopez, Gloria Lopez, Erika Lopez, and Fernando Lopez. A proud father, his children and his 26 grandchildren, along with many great-grandchildren, represented his proudest achievements.
Marcos started a job at Indian Summers in 2000, where he poured his dedication and hard work.
However, it was his home life that truly captured his heart and soul. His love for his family was second to none. He adored spending time with his children, baking, and lending a helping hand wherever he could.
In 1995, Marcos moved to Ludington, MI, where he happily settled and continued to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, including the flavors of Julia's cooking, tacos, and conchas. He had a particular fondness for glass Coke Cola and coffee. A loyal fan of Cruz Azul, he would often be found cheering on his favorite team with unwavering enthusiasm.
Marcos was also known for his laid-back personality, his favorite recreational activities included trips to the casino and visiting the local China Buffet. More than anything, he loved to make people laugh. His kind, helpful, loving, and caring nature brought joy to all those around him.
His legacy will continue to live in the laughter he inspired, the love he baked into every dish, and the warmth he extended to every single one of his children. His memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched.
Marcos Lopez, a man of love, laughter, and legacy, will be deeply missed.
