Marcellamary's obituary

Marcellamary T. McBreen (Rodgers), 67, died of heart related issues on July 23, 2019, at Baptist North Hospital, Jacksonville FL, with her loving husband and daughters by her side.

Marcellamary McBreen(Marcie) of Philadelphia, PA , is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years Cornelius J. McBreen III (Jack), her oldest daughter Colleen R. Boone, son-in-law Robert G. Boone III, her granddaughter Lorelai R. Boone (Petunia), her youngest daughter Courtney J. Roka and her son-in-law Michael G. Roka. She is preceded in death by her Father Henry C. Rodgers, Mother Marcellamary Rodgers, and brother Henry J. Rodgers of Philadelphia, PA

Marcellamary McBreen was born on January 28, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA to parents Henry and Marcellamary Rodgers. She graduated from West Philadelphia Catholic High School for Girls in 1969. After High school she accepted a position as the Football Coaches’ secretary at University of Pennsylvania. She was then promoted to Administrative Assistant for the entire Athletic Department where she worked for more than 25 years.

Marcellamary was an amazing wife, friend, adoring mother and a loving grandmother (Me -mom). She married Cornelius J. McBreen III on December 4, 1976 and the couple had two children together.

Marcella was a social butterfly who had the ability to make friends anywhere she was. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend Cornelius, reading, playing cards and board games, road trips, taking care of others, and most of all loved being a mother and grandmother. Her family and friends will always remember her as a person with spitfire personality, who welcomed you with open arms and truly understood what unconditional love was and how to express it to others.

A viewing and mass is scheduled for Friday, August 9, 2019, The viewing will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with the mass to immediately follow at Saint Philomena Roman Catholic Church, 41 E. Baltimore Ave, Lansdowne PA 19050 with a luncheon to follow, All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marcellamary's life. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficulty time.
