Kindness and Neighborliness
Mrs. Spencer was the first neighbor to welcome us to the block when I was 9 years old and she remained the same kind and neighborly person for the next 30+ years. At 45, Mrs. Spencer was like a second mother to myself and grandmother to my kids. There was never a week that the kids didn’t run over to her or she came over to greet them, giving them something in their hands. If she went to the supermarket she always had something for them and even when my oldest went to university she was there to celebrate with us. As Halloween just passed, the first one without her, greeting and giving the kids treats and gifts, we definitely missed her. I’m so happy for her daughter-in law Claudia,  who continued her tradition and went all out this year for the kids, holding on to what she instilled. We miss you!! Always more than a neighbor, we are family. Love forever Keanni🥰

My dear Sandra,

Sending my heartfelt condolences to you and the entire family. May Mom forever sleep in eternal peace.❤️

My condolences to Marcell's family. I first met Marcell where we worked together at AIG. She was a very encouraging person who was always there to give words of wisdom.  We will meet every Wednesday in the conference room for bible study and prayer.  She was full of wisdom.  I am reading her eulogy and didn't know that she and I attended  the same school.  There was always something special about her. RIP Marcell.
Sending sincere condolences to Fred Snr, Sandra, Robert, Fred Jnr and the rest of the family. May Marcell’s soul rest in eternal peace. From Tuts Morgan, Michelle and Christopher (Edgewater). God bless you all 💜

Sincere condolences to the Spencer family and all other relatives!  May God continues to provide you all the peace that surpasses all understanding ❤️Met this family when I was 13 yrs old , when Sandra and I first met and became  very good friends. Mrs Spencer I recalled as  a very warm  caring and loving  individual , if the party was over at 11 pm , the teenagers better be home promptly ,🤣…fond memories. RIEP Aunty

Condolences to the Spencer family.

From the McKenzie family (Hazel, Rj)

I'm so sorry for the loss of Marcell. I'll always think of her whenever  ,I recall a visit to the  Spencers   home  while they resided in Edge Water portmore ,Jamaica . I remember our class football team played a practice match ,organized by Robert in portmore . Shortly after the  game was over , we  all went back  to Robert's   house to get dressed and wash up . Ms Spencer  arrived shortly from work ,and stepped into the house  full of over 15 of us young kids .

I was taken aback by her warm reception and greetings.  She immediately engaged us in conversation,  and even inquired how  did the game go.

I remember vividly she threw her  pocket book down ,and asked Robert if he had  given us anything to drink . Robert replied , yeah man ,,mi gi dem water . Lol.

She immediately took a  jug  from the cupboard and began to make a huge jug of Kool aide. We all drank and quenched our thirst  . That memory has stayed with me since . Some 47  yrs ago .

Just that small encounter her kindness, warmth and compassion  shone through . She will be forever missed , but her memories will live on in our hearts. Sleep well,  sleep in peace . Thanks  Howard Ludford.
