Westbrook - Marcel R. Fredette, 75, died on Thursday, December 23, 2021.

Marcel was born in Portland, on September 25, 1946, the son of the late Roland and Rachel (Gouzie) Fredette. He attended local schools and graduated from Westbrook High School. After high school he worked at J.E. Gould in the shipping department for many years. In 1971 he married the love of his life, Marie Clark and they raised three children together. This year they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

In his free time Marcel enjoyed watching the New England sports teams, watching old westerns, and walking around Westbrook to keep active. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a local Jaycees Officer, and a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Parish.

Marcel is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie Fredette of Westbrook; three daughters, Denise Fredette and husband Matt Kahrman of Raymond, Angela Sinclair and husband John of Westbrook, Felicia Fredette of Westbrook; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene Fredette of FL; brothers, Donald Fredette Sr. and wife Gloria of Westbrook, Roland Fredette Jr. and wife Nancy of Windham.
