I work @ Fremont Toyota Service Dept in Fremont. Mark would bring in all of the family cars for service one by one and i got a chance to meet his family during the last 10 years. Maile, Anna, Val, Emille. His family members would come in with him in different combinations. Mark and Maile, Mark and Anna. Etc. I've had the pleasure of see him with different family members multiple times. Wow They had a lot of cars all Toyota's. He would want to know details about each car needs for service or repairs. He would make a service appt and be the first in line 15 minutes early. Always ready and prepared. Coffee in hand ready to go. He would interact with each family member as they brought in cars at different times explaining whats going on with each car and why. I can see why he decided to teach. I think teaching may have been his true calling. He would always ask if I wanted coffee. We would trade off whose turn was it to buy coffee at the local Starbucks. We would talk a lot about all the knuckle heads in politics. It made for really interesting conversation. Mark was very insightful and was an intellect. It shows with his children. They are all very smart and intelligent. There are not a lot of people like him. I send my deepest condolences to each family member. Mark will be missed.
Dear Maile, and family. I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved husband, and father.
My sincerest sympathies,

Marc seemed like a neat guy, interesting to talk with and interested in listening to other people. We'd only spoken a few times, but I appreciated being able to share my mother's drafting stories with him, and discuss the transition to CAD and beyond. I'm so sorry I didn't get the chance to know him and his family better. From what I hear Marc was a wonderful teacher. For these and other reasons, I shall mourn his loss. May his memory be a blessing, always.

Marc walked into my office earlier this year to ask me questions for a project he was completing for his credential program. I immediately asked him if he would be interested in teaching at FACE, and he agreed. Since then, he spent numerous hours creating curriculum, getting licenses, developing syllabi, and working to develop an Engineering Pathway in conjunction with Ohlone College. He had never taught before, but his students loved the course and were excited about all they were learning. His expertise and commitment to teaching adults in our community were exceptional. I will miss him. He left a huge hole in our school and in our hearts. On behalf of FACE, we all want to wish his family and friends our sincerest condolences and our love. Heidi McFadden, Principal
I am very sorry about your loss. He was a great teacher and was a source of inspiration to my autistic son and encouraged him in his autocad class.
Marc...I am sure you are in a happy place thanks to all the good you have done for all of us
Val and family,
I am so sorry to hear about this terrible loss. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
