What can i say. When it comes to manuel. I think of music, joy, laughter and many great days we shared together. Since. the first day we met, I knew it was going to be a long friendship. I can even explain Or begin to talk about all the times we were together  laughing, playing music ( those cumbias he loved) and sad moments also. Manuel was there for many experiences and memories I can remember while I live in Canada. One of the things I will remember  him by  is him saying "Pura vida papi"... Or Jose... Me siento joyon.... I am going to miss you lots and your dream to play in a band in central America, I will make it real. One day,  I will dedicate your favorite song ( Cansado del Camino in Cumbia) to you. I wish God would had kept you longer but I know he called to play up in heaven. My deepest condolences for the Romero's family. Today I celebrate your life and you will live in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, Pura vida papi!!!

Once again, on behalf of the Campos & Figueroa family we extend our deepest and sincere condolences to the entire Romero family and extended relatives on the passing of their beloved husband, father and grandpa, Manuel Romero.

We will be forever grateful to him and his wife, Vilma for opening up their home to my dad on his arrival to Canada. They didn’t know him but they not only opened their doors but their hearts to him and our family on our arrival.

My dad’s famous “sopa del hermano Nefthaly” still remains one of our favourite mutual stories. Also, the many times Manuel drove us home from church and the late dinners we had at our place on Grandview Highway.

We pray that God’s love embraces you all during this difficult time and may His peace that surpasses all understanding be your constant comfort and strength.

We send you all our love.

Dear Romero Family,

I am deeply saddened to hear of Hermano Manuel's passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Though I cannot be there in person, I will be with you in spirit, holding you all close in my thoughts and prayers.

Manuel was such a loving soul, always spreading joy and warmth. I will forever cherish the memory of his bear hugs and the way he brought magic to our Christmas celebrations as Santa Claus. It’s a memory I hold dear and will always treasure.

May you find peace in the love that surrounds you and comfort in the cherished memories you hold. Manuel's kindness and spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

With deepest sympathy,

Celia Cruz
