It is with a heavy heart and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Malik Council, on September 5th, 2024. Born on November 5th, 1990, Malik blessed this world with his presence and left a mark on the hearts of all those who knew him.

Born and raised in Spring Lake, NC, Malik was a proud graduate of Overhills High School where he completed his high school education in 2008. His intelligence, kindness, and determination to succeed were evident from an early age, and resulted in a successful academic journey. Overhills High School, his alma mater, would always hold a special place in his heart.

The year 2013 marked a significant milestone in Malik's life when he welcomed his child into the world. A dedicated father, Malik embodied the true essence of a mentor, providing love and guidance to his child. His love for his family was boundless, and their happiness served as his ultimate purpose.

Malik was a beacon of hope and inspiration throughout his life, a pillar of strength for all who sought his counsel. His departure leaves a void that cannot be filled but his memory lives on through his family, friends, and everyone who had the opportunity to know him.

May his soul rest in eternal peace and may his family find solace in the love and joy he brought to their lives.
