In lieu of flowers, we'd appreciate if you could donate to The Mahdi Chambers Hack & Hustle Social Entrepreneurship Academy Executive Director Memorial Fund. Mahdi Chambers served as the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Hack & Hustle Social Entrepreneurship Academy, Inc. In September of 2023, Hack & Hustle Social Entrepreneurship Academy celebrated its 5 year anniversary!
The Hack & Hustle™ Social Entrepreneurship Academy (a 501(c)3 organization) is a workforce development program that was created to enhance traditional mentoring by integrating technology and entrepreneurial skills development, life lessons from Hip Hop culture, and mental wellness through meditation, into a single program. The program exposes underserved youth to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and entrepreneurship in order to create a pipeline of talent to pursue opportunities in STEM career fields. We truly believe that there is major untapped potential in our communities. It is critical that we work to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty.
- $750 will buy 5 laptops ($150 per laptop). Many of the scholars do not have a laptop at home.
- $1,500 will provide a stipend for a scholar.
- $450 will buy 10 Solar Educational Kits ($45 per kit). Scholars learn about solar and renewable energy, as well as future job growth in this industry.
- $900 will buy 10 Electronics Kits ($90 per kit). Introduces scholars to Electrical Engineering
- $150 will buy a laptop for a scholar
