Maggie's obituary

We mourn the loss of a vibrant spirit, Maggie Schlehofer, who was born on April 27, 2012, and sadly left us on August 26, 2023. A wonderful companion with an exceptional personality, Maggie's joy and love for life were contagious.

Anyone who knew Maggie quickly learned of her adoration for food. Blueberries, strawberries, crisp lettuce, and cheese were among her favorites. She could never resist the temptation of French fries and ice cream. Always up for a quirky quaff, she had a special fondness for Alcohol-Free Dog Beer.

Her leisure was well spent watching her favourite TV show, Lucky Dog. Maggie also loved the heartwarming tale of Marley & Me, a movie as endearing as her own presence. She was an enthusiast of culture and arts, particularly appreciating Wood Cuts.

Maggie was an energetic soul who loved the game of retrieving the stick. When she was not playing, she indulged in her favorite recreational activity - sleeping. Fond of Swimming, Maggie was an adventurous spirit, and any moment spent outdoors was a delight for her.

Vermont held a special place in her heart as her favorite vacation spot, while locally, Bluff Point was her preferred haunt. Maggie cared deeply about Dog Mountain and The American Kennel Club, Inc., extending her charm to causes close to her heart.

Maggie’s color palette was as bright and jovial as her personality, with yellow being her favorite. Her loving, gentle, and soft nature touched everyone around her. The wisdom she left behind was profound – Always smile, love everyone. Her legacy, to live each day like it’s your last, will forever echo in our hearts. As we bid her adieu, we remember it’s not a goodbye but see you later.

In memory of Maggie, we remember her loving spirit and celebrate the joy she added to our lives. Rest in Peace, dear friend. Your absence leaves a void, but your memories bring joy and solace.
