Mae's obituary
>Sadie(Mae) Harris has lost her battle with cancer and returned back to Mother Nature on September 30, 2025 at her home in San Marcos, TX. Mae was 79 years young.
>
Mae's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint She left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that She stayed here.
Mae was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. She was a master of making blankets for her family, an avid baker, and an amazing grandmother and wife. When Mae wasn't working or crocheting, she could be found in the kitchen, practicing baking bread and many other delicious dishes. Not a day went by where Mae didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her -- her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.
> Mae was born and raised in San Marcos, Texas. When she was 20, she started traveling to explore the world and all of its beauty. While traveling, she ended up meeting her husband, Henry. After a few more years of traveling, they decided to settle down and went on to have 6 Children ( Sam Harris, Will Harris, Mary Holmes, Annette Jones, Joshua Mosby, and Sadie Mosby). From them, came his 11 grandchildren (Savon Green, Shanel Henderson, Briana McKnight, Xie’er McKnight, Brandon McKnight, Sadie Whiteside, Jasmine Jones, Sydney Jones, Kristen Jones, Chelsea Jones, and Marcus Holmes). Mae loved her family and she will be missed.
