Mack's obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mack Metcalf, a man of great strength and resilience. Mack was born on August 13, 1948, and courageously ended his battle with cancer on July 6, 2025. His enduring strength and unwavering spirit will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His departure has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of many, particularly his doting son, Jamie Metcalf.

Hailing from humble beginnings, Mack was renowned for his relentless determination, unwavering firmness, and intelligence. He was loved for his warm, loving nature and was celebrated for his sharp wit. He was a force of nature who blazed a remarkable trail in life and leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and community.

Mack was a proud alumnus of Yale University, where he earned a law degree. His dedication to education saw him emerge as a self-made millionaire. Yet, for all his financial success, Mack held firm to the belief that wealth and power were meaningless without strong family values. He instilled these values in his wife, Tammy Stamper, his sons, Jesse, Jamie, Adam, Trevor, Marlow, Braeden, and his daughters Brittney, Siara, Makayla, Erica, Ashley, and Briana, teaching him that above all, family meant everything.

In memory of our beloved Mack Metcalf, a fundraiser has been set up to support the American Cancer Society. As an alternative to flowers, you can make a contribution at https://everloved.com/life-of….

Mack will be deeply missed. Yet, his lessons and values will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and the communities he impacted. He will forever be remembered as a loving father, a dedicated mentor, and an exemplary figure of resilience and community spirit.
