Maceo's obituary
With grateful hearts and deep sorrow, we celebrate the life of Ms. Maceo H. Jones, who peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord at the age of 99.
Ms. Jones lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering faith, and unconditional love. For 36 years, she faithfully served her community — feeding families during Thanksgiving and throughout the year, supporting seniors, offering prayer and encouragement, and extending compassion wherever it was needed.
Helping those in need was not simply something she did — it was her calling.
Her service was never about recognition. It was about obedience to her faith and love for people. She lived by a simple belief: when she could help, she did. When she could pray, she prayed. When she could give, she gave — quietly, without hesitation, and without expecting anything in return.
Ten years ago, her decades of service formally became the Maceo H. Jones Foundation so that her vision of serving families, seniors, and those in need could continue for generations to come. Even after the Foundation was established, she remained actively involved, faithfully volunteering and supporting the mission she began.
In total, her life reflects 46 years of giving, faith, and service to the community she loved.
She was a mother, grandmother, matriarch, servant, and woman of deep conviction. Her life touched countless individuals — some who knew her personally, and many who experienced the impact of her generosity through her work.
Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing that her legacy lives on — not only through her family, but through every life she touched.
As our family prepares to honor Ms. Jones with dignity, we have created a personal page on GoFundMe to help cover funeral and memorial expenses.

Please note: The GoFundMe page was organized by the family and is separate from the Maceo H. Jones Foundation. Contributions are not tax-deductible. If the amount received exceeds the total cost of funeral and memorial expenses, any remaining funds will be donated to the Foundation to continue her legacy of service.
Her life was a reflection of generosity, faith, and love in action.
Her work here may be finished — but her legacy continues through the lives she shaped, the families she served, and the mission she began.
