Mable's obituary
We sadly announce the passing of Mable "May" Barner, affectionately known as May, who preferred to be called Mable. She was born on the 16th of February, 1946, and was taken from us on the 7th of February 2025, just a few days shy of her 79th birthday.
Mable was noted for her exceptional taste in music, sports, games, and activities. Her favorite song was 'When a Woman's Fed Up', by R. Kelly and her sports team of choice was the Tampa Bay Bucs. She also took immense pleasure in playing the game of Spades. Mable's bubbly, sharp, and confident personality was a driving force in her favorite recreational activity - spending time at the casino.
It was impossible to know Mable without recognizing her deep love for food. Among her most savored delicacies were Oxtails, perfectly paired with yellow rice. Sharing a meal with Mable was an invitation into her world of flavor and zest for life.
Mable was a woman of profound faith. She often shared the wisdom that one should always keep faith and trust in God's journey for them. This statement was not just a saying for Mable, but a way of life that she led by example.
Mable is remembered for her kindness and generosity, leaving an unforgettable legacy behind. She touched the lives of many, teaching us all the value of warmth and a giving spirit. Her laughter and love will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her.
