Lynne Carol McGreevy

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lynne Carol McGreevy on May 15, 2024. Born on November 18, 1947, Lynne dedicated her life to education, kindness, and the love of family and friends.
Lynne pursued her education in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where she attended college before embarking on a meaningful career in teaching. She was a devoted educator at Hasbrouck Heights, where she taught both elementary and junior high school students. Her passion for teaching and unwavering dedication to her students left a lasting impact on countless young lives.
On July 9, 1977, Lynne married the love of her life, Paul McGreevy, with whom she shared many wonderful years. Paul preceded her in death on September 2, 2006, but their love and memories remained a source of comfort and strength.
Lynne is survived by her loving sister, Patti Piccarreta, and her husband, Sam Piccarreta. She was a cherished aunt to her nephews, Michael Piccarreta and his wife, Julie Piccarreta, along with their five children—Greyson, Avery, Beckett, Corbin, and Kelsey—as well as Tim Piccarreta and his wife, Austin Piccarreta, and their daughter, Amelia. Lynne’s love for her family was immeasurable, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A private memorial service will be held to honor Lynne’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.
May she rest in peace, reunited with Paul, and forever in our hearts.
