Our beloved mother Lynne Longhway entered into God’s Kingdom on November 07, 2022.

Lynne was born to Leonard and Laverne Bastyr on March 09, 1955, in Hopkins, MN. In 1995, Lynne married the love of her life, Frederick Longhway, a match truly made in heaven. Lynne & Fred raised 3 kids, Kevin, Shawn, and Nick, as well as 4 grandkids, Justine, Preston, Abigail, and Emma as well as one great-granddaughter Aveya. Lynne spent many years serving Carver County as a Sheriff Deputy both on the streets as well as in the jail. Her compassion for everyone was radiating to those around her. Lynne was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. She loved the church and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible.  Lynne joins her loving husband Fred and son Nick in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members and friends, including her kids, grandkids, and great-granddaughter as well as her brothers and sisters. Lynne's favorite scripture was Philippians 4:6-7 - Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.
