216 days ago the life ebbed out of my dearest Lynn while I held her hand.   Both Jesus and the apostle Paul reminded us there would one day be a resurrection.  I want to be the first face she sees, to welcome her to her new home in a Paradise Earth.  (Psalm 37:9-11, 29)

I’ve been thinking of my Aunt Lynn all day.

I feel that she was special and important to me even though I was only connected to her closely for a brief time in my life.

I hope that all of her loved ones are well.

Coincidentally, our second granddaughter

Livy, was born on her birthday.   Livy was 11 years old today.

Hugs

Jane

I am deeply saddened to hear of Lynn's passing.  She was an amazing, generous soul who brought so much love and light to this world—sending my deepest condolences to all of her friends and family.  We will all miss her.

Strong. Talented. Feisty. Creative. Lynn, my mother-in-law, was a force of nature. She carved an indelible path across this planet before passing on to other adventures, a moment I picture like a rocket launching into space, blazing an arc against a glittering backdrop of stars, a new point of light in this unfathomable, infinite universe.

Lynn was a kaleidoscope, a colourful mosaic, bright and beautiful and ever-changing. She could be chameleon-like in her convictions, but her belief in herself and her abilities never wavered. Nor did her optimism and her laughter, which buoyed her through all of life’s battles and challenges.

We are so grateful to Maric for being by her side, through the decades and especially at the end. You are truly a good man. Bless you.

Thank you to Leigh for all you did for your Mom, too. I know how difficult these last months were, in particular. As your final act of kindness, you have penned this wonderful obituary. Lynn would be so honoured and pleased at how perfectly you have summed up her remarkable life.

I am in shock ending up being the last surviving  sibling of the five children of Gerald & Edna Hall .  I was their middle child and Lynn & Jerry’s older sister.  I am Aunt Merlon, (Marilyn) name change by niece Leigh’s son, Cory, early in his life. Therefore, I expected to leave for heaven before they did.  Such would not be the case. I’d like to add that Lynn was also survived by her grandson, Cory, and Great grandson, Mason.

I spent brief but special time with Lindsey in the last year.  She was sharp and witty and I enjoyed our interaction.   I was able to help her move some things with Maric.   She had conviction, she was sure of herself and didn’t complain despite her challenging circumstances… something we all can learn from.  I witnessed the care that Maric continually showed towards her on all levels and that alone was special to see someone care for another human being that much.  She shared something powerful with conviction again right before she fell asleep in death about a hope for a better future inspired through Scriptural promises that were shared with her and her expression inspired me to keep believing in a beautiful promised future where sickness and death will be no more!  Thanks Lynn.  My heart and prayers go out to all those deeply affected by this temporary loss.

Sending love to Maric, Leigh, Scott and Aunt Marilyn. My Aunt Lynn was loved from a far by those of us who knew her well in her younger days. She was a strong individual who was always searching for a place to feel comfortable  and respected.

She was so dearly cherished by  my late mother and father Dee and Don Marvine who considered her more of a daughter than a sister.

I am deeply grateful to Maric for his steadfast love and caring for Lynn through good times and bad.  You were a true blessing to Lynn   I am so sorry for your loss.

My heart goes out to Leigh and Scott for the loss of their mother. I admire your devotion to  her  through difficult circumstances and hope that the last chapter in her life brings you  peace knowing she was safe and well cared for.

Marilyn, it’s not easy to be the last one standing. You are the blessing bestowed upon us all. Your love and caring connection  for all of us is a gift. I know the deep  love you and your sisters had for each other and the family in spite of the distance and challenges. My heart is with you in this new void without Lynn Dee Jerry and Rollie.

My family  sends our love to all of you who knew and  loved my Aunt Lynn.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Lynn.  I never met her, personally, but knew her through her sister, Marilyn Burns.
Marilyn and Family - I am so sorry to hear of your sister’s passing. What a talented and creative person. Sending you all love, hugs, support and the best of thoughts as you navigate this loss. 💔
I was saddened when I heard the news of Aunt Lynn's passing.  I knew she had been sick and needed assisted care,  but I thought this part of her life would be in place for awhile.  Her life was inspiring and I am sorry her family didn’t get more time with her in her golden years.  May the many memories of Aunt Lynn’s illustrious life be a comfort to those closest to her in times ahead.  Safe passage Aunt Lynn.
