Lynn's obituary
La Crosse Lynn Marie Guthrie
Lynn Marie (Guthrie) Hodyniak, 67, of La Crosse, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, January 17, 2022. Lynn was born August 28, 1954 in Ashland, WI to Donald and Marjorie (Eaton) Guthrie. She attended private school throughout grade school. Then attended public school at Ashland High School. Upon graduation, moved to La Crosse; where she attended UW-La Crosse. It was in La Crosse where Lynn married and had her oldest son. Some time after being divorced, Lynn met Kenneth John Hodyniak. Lynn and Kenneth were married for 12 years and had three children.
Lynn worked in the transportation industry for many years proceeding her work as a health care professional for the elderly. Lynn worked for LaidLaw Transit in La Crosse and Watertown Passenger Transit in Watertown, WI. She loved to socialize and be able to get to know her passengers. Lynn enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, baking and cooking; most of all she loved to share what she made with others. She had the biggest and kindest heart, always doing for others, rather than herself. Especially when it came to her grandchildren; Nana by far was the one who spoiled them the most!
She is survived by her four children, Brian Baumgartner of Lancaster, WI, Jaymee (Matthew) O’Leary of Waterford, WI, Kimberlee Hodyniak of La Crosse, WI, and Brandon (Theresa) Hodyniak of La Crosse, WI; her grandchildren, Michaela, Hannah, Tavion, Ryan, Bella, Breanna and Sky Lynn. Lynn was like a “second-mom” to many of her children’s friends and her friend’s children, including her good friends Vickie Revels and Linda Arentz.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents.
