Lynn's obituary
Lynn Dale Faylor, aged 80, passed away on July 28, 2024, in Carson City, NV. from a pulmonary embolism. He was born January 4, 1944, in Los Angeles, CA. to Max and Pauline Faylor, both of who preceded him in death. Lynn's early years were marked by resilience as he was diagnosed with polio at the age of 4, which lead to extensive treatments at Shriners Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City.
In 1956, Lynn moved to Carson City where he would graduate high school in 1962 then barber school. He had a shop on a prominent corner of Carson Ave. for many years. He soon met Carla Simon in 1965 through prank phone calling. They were soon married and started growing their family in 1968, eventually welcoming four gorgeous children. Lynn's entrepreneurship took the family to Walla Walla, WA. in 1978. There he had a pool cleaning business and later a Sub Sandwich Shop. In 1985, he moved the family to Hillsboro, OR. where he started a property preservation company. Lynn and Carla parted ways in 1998, after which Lynn retired in 2005 and indulged his passion for riding Harley motorcycles.
Lynn returned to Carson City in 2006, where he helped care for his aging parents. He was known for his humorous spirit, often regarded as becoming an "old fart" in his later years, with a penchant for bad jokes, pretty ladies, cheap cigars and reading.
Lynn's hobbies included oil painting, and photography. His love for cigars and riding Harleys painted the picture of a man who savored life's pleasures.
He is survived by his sister, Jeanne Killian and her husband Ed; his niece Michelle; nephew Michael; his children, Shyralyn Barnes, Andrea Andersen, Beau Faylor, and Max Faylor and their spouses; along with grandchildren: Kimberly, Andrew, Hannah, Olivia, Hayden, Kendal, Ruby, Payton, Dylan.
