Lynn's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lynn DeGraff, who left us on June 8, 2023. Born on July 26, 1945, Lynn lived a rich and fulfilling life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Lynn is survived by her devoted husband, Don, and their loving children, Tracey and Trevor. She was predeceased by her daughter, Candace DeGraff, her parents Gail and Duncan Taylor, her brother Jimmy Taylor, and brother-in-law and sister-in- law Darryl and Gladys DeGraff. Lynn was blessed with several grandchildren - Chantal Langstaff, Drew Herrebrugh and Nicolas Herrebrugh, and great grandchildren- Ryder Langstaff and Madden Langstaff. Lynn will also be missed by her grandchildren's mother Sherry and her husband Darren Herrebrugh, son-in-law Tom Davis and former daughter-in-law Taryn Adrian. Missing her as well, are nephew Christopher Taylor, neice Kim Taylor-Newton, their children and their mother Dianne Taylor, neices Kerry Gordon and Shauna Fulton, their children and long time friends Bev and Dick Keller - all were the source of her immense pride, joy and wonderful memories.
Lynn was loving, warm, funny, and selfless, her personality enriched the lives of those around her. Her favorite pastimes included sewing, needlepoint, and reading. She loved her poodles, iced tea, Elvis and baking biscotti and chocolate chip cookies for loved ones.
Lynn valued the importance of family above all else, and had the joy of working with Don, her children and Sherry Herrebrugh, the mother of her beloved first granddaughter at the family business, Tomboy Foods in Red Deer, AB. Her favorite vacations were those spent surrounded by her family, making memories that will be treasured forever. Lynn's greatest accomplishments were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will continue her legacy of love and strong family bonds.
Lynn DeGraff will be profoundly missed by Don, her everything for over 60 years, her children, Tracey and Trevor, and those who called her Mom, Grandma Lynn and Auntie Lynn, and all those she loved and who loved her in return. Her lasting impact on her family serves as a reminder that a family bond, once formed, is never broken.
Following Lynn's wishes, there will be no funeral, she will be interred at Queen's Cemetery Calgary AB, next to her first born Candace DeGraff, in a private service.
