Lynda's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynda Morris, a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend, on April 12, 2024. Born on December 28, 1941, to her late parents Robert and Barbara Denman, Lynda led a fulfilling and inspiring life.
Lynda is survived by her sons Chester Morris II, Robert Bradley Erwin, and Mark Erwin, her daughter Angela Erwin, her sisters Cheryl Dranichek and Patricia Denman, her brother Robert Denman II; her many nieces and nephews. Her grandsons Chester Morris III, Kyle Erwin, Taylor Erwin, Calvin Morris, and her granddaughter Carter Morris. Lynda is also fondly remembered by her daughters-in-law Bernie Erwin and Casey Morris. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend Chester Morris, great-grandchild Asher Erwin and her sister Barbara Neal.
Known for her vibrant personality, Lynda was described as feisty, a firecracker yet loving, loyal, and a joy to be around. Her motto was to enjoy life and always share a laugh along the way. Lynda brought joy to many as a devoted parent volunteer for all of her kids’ different athletic teams where she loved sharing her passion for sports.
She had a keen interest in literature, particularly books by James Patterson and different murder mysteries, but also enjoyed Harry Potter. An ardent music lover, she enjoyed country music, with the likes of George Strait, Blake Shelton, and Garth Brooks among her favorites. Lynda found comfort in her favorite TV shows, including Bar Rescue, Murder She Wrote, and Monk, and movies such as Pure Country, The Devil Wears Prada, The Proposal, and Miss Congeniality.
Lynda had a zest for life that was evident in her hobbies and interests. She loved playing Uno with her kids and memory games with her grandkids, gardening, taking care of her pets, and watching sports. She passionately cheered for The Ohio State Buckeyes, The Browns, and all of March Madness. Her love for the outdoors was evident as she often could be found at her favorite spots, including Lake Erie and the Marblehead lighthouse, NASCAR races with her kids and attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events.
Her favorite meals included potato chips, Chinese food, and McDonald's ice coffees, and she had an affinity for fruity cocktails, margaritas, and beer. Her walls, covered in art, reflected her love for visual expressions, and her favorite color, purple, often found its way into her attire and her hair.
To say that she will be missed is an understatement. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, her enduring spirit, and the love she showed each of us. We will always remember her as the vibrant soul she was, with her contagious laughter and memorable stories of life.
