Lydia's obituary

Obituary for Lydia Jean Stuhr

(Born July 10, 1935 - Passed into Glory April 8, 2023)

The faithful, beautiful, sweet Lydia Jean Stuhr (87 years of age), born on July 10, 1935, in Williamson, WV, passed peacefully on April 8, 2023, at 9:45pm with her loving husband Ron by her side at their home in Sacramento, CA.

Lydia, also affectionately known as "Lyddy Jean" to her family, decided to have Easter Supper with King of Kings and Lord of Lords! It was the day before Easter Sunday when she went on to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her family rejoices, that she is in the arms of the Lord and now reunited with loved ones who went on before her, including her beloved son, Jerry Stuhr and many siblings and family members.

In addition to her son, Lydia was preceded in glory by 7 of her siblings: Jake, Marie, Carol, Cullen, Lois, Catherine, Troy (in order by age); Parents Troy Hinkle, and Pearl Duncan-Literal (Hinkle). Lydia is survived by her husband Ron Stuhr, son Ronnie Stuhr, daughter Amy Riggs, son-in-law Jamie Riggs, brothers William (Bebo) and Clyde, as well as many grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who loved and adored her.

Lydia possessed several gifts of the spirit and shared them unselfishly with all. She never complained though she suffered much with severe asthma her whole life and various illnesses that she never let get her down. She was undefeated in battling these hurdles throughout her life, instead always staying focused on God's blessings.

Lydia always depended on God and not her own understanding. She was full of praise and adornment towards others and was always so fun to be around, joking, witty, charming, and lady-like through any circumstance! Lydia had an amazing heart and love for Lord that shined bright! She had a way of talking to folks that instantly made them like her. Lydia loved her family so much! She loved going to church and singing her own songs that she and her husband Ron had written. Lydia loved the gospel with great passion and left an angelic legacy behind for her family as well as an example of faithfulness and that of a true prayer warrior!

Lydia would often say "We will all meet again on that heavenly shore, please no weeping, only joy for me!" Rest in peace sweet Lyddy Jean!

I Corinthians 13:12-13

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
