Mrs. Lydia Bernice (Slocomb) Allen Died at 78 after a long battle of cancer at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center In Lula GA Mrs. Allen Funeral Services will be provided by Murray Brothers Funeral Home In Lula GA. Mrs. Allen will lie at State Museum of Contemporary Music In Lula GA On Saturday And Sunday October 6-7 9 am-6pm Her Memorial services will take place at her home church on Monday October 8, 2018 at 10:00-2:00 Bethlehem Baptist Church In Lula GA Her Father Pastor Harry Lee Slocomb will be officiating her burial will take place at 2:15 in the back of the church Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. . Allen was Born To The Late Mrs. Lula Virginia Capers(Slocomb) and Pastor Harry Lee Slocomb In Lula GA on May 6 1940 Mrs. Allen Was Preceded in Death By her Brothers: Mr. James Avery Slocomb Of Green California and Mr. Buddy Lee Slocomb Of Lula GA she's survived by one sister Mrs. Marguerite Slocomb Wilson and 1 son Teddy Wayne Slocomb (Juanita). Shes Survived by a lot of nieces and nephews cousins etc .Mrs.Allen professed herself to Christ at an Early age she was an American singer in GA her top hits was Up against the wind soundtrack on Set it Off the movie she loved to sing she graduated from Lula High in 1957 she went to college at Clark Atlanta University in 1958 she completed her Degree in Contemporary Arts Of singing in 1962 she love everyone that she came in contact with Mrs. Allen will be missed by many
