Lybia's obituary
Lybia Dolores Fulcher, 61, is now resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on November 3, 1960 in Puerto Rico and lived a wonderful life of loving others with all her heart, making them laugh with her outgoing personality and sarcastic humor, and accomplishing all her goals with her tenacious spirit, which included attaining a college degree at 47 and learning to play the violin at 55.
She is predeceased by her cherished mother, Genoveva Tirado Collazo, and her beloved husband of 20 years, Dan D. Fulcher. She is survived by her treasured fiancé, William Blydenburgh; her dearest daughters, Diane Rosario, Nicole Rosario and husband Jason, who were all with her until the end; daughter, Suset Rosario; grandchildren, Alex, Luciana, Tessa, Mila, Koda, Sofia, and Iva Bea, who adored their Mamá; her father, Pedro Collazo; two older brothers, Pedro(Rosa) and Carlos(Nancy); best friend and sister, Maria(Luís); stepsons, Kyle and Scott Fulcher; an extended family who she kept close ties with; and many chosen family, friends, and children, who she made feel just like family every chance she got.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Legal Aid Justice Center(www.justice4all.org), where she spent the last 8 years working tirelessly to make a lasting impact.
Memorial service will be held at Church of the Redeemer, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23116, on June 9th, 2022 at 10:30AM. Family will visit with those who loved her following the service.
