Background
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Luna Sky Sapien. Luna was a bright spark in this world and she will be deeply missed. Most of our friends and family know Luna came into this world just over a year ago, she endured surgeries and months of staying in the hospital; she was a strong and courageous little girl. As time passed she came home and despite her medical struggles she always had a smile on her face and a contagious laughter. Just this past Wednesday her mom and dad were told by her medical team they were going to schedule her to remove the pump she had since birth finally as she had become healthy and strong enough…that she would finally be able to live life as any other healthy child. Then Saturday, September 24th, she was asleep and became unresponsive leaving her dad to perform CPR as her mom called 911 desperately for help. Upon arriving at the hospital as they were not allowed in the ambulance given how distraught they were they were informed Luna was pronounced and she was no longer in this life. Shock and devastation don’t accurately capture the feelings totally but as you can imagine Luna’s parents Marissa and Isaac are now faced with planning their baby girls funeral. The funds raised will go towards Luna’s services and any remaining funds should there be any will go towards paying off her remaining medical bills.
