Lula's obituary
Lula Mae Durham Peeler, 82, of 487 Asbury Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Cherokee County, she was wife of the late Jimmie G. Peeler and the daughter of the late Dever Durham and Mary Parker Durham. She was a retired LPN and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Jimmy Peeler and wife Katie of Spartanburg, SC, Joe Peeler and wife Sue of Gaffney, SC, and Terry Peeler and wife, Tina of Gaffney, SC; six grandchildren, Daniel Peeler, Josh Peeler, Aimee Peeler, Michelle Posey, Darlene Ramsey and Brad Ramsey; six great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Peeler, Caroline Posey, Abigail Posey, Tyler Ramsey, Jessica Hampton, and Jonathan Hampton; two brothers, Fred Durham and wife Maxine of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Roy Durham of York, SC; four sisters, Betty Bradley of Pacolet, Nancy Porter and husband, Henry of Gaffney, Pauline Ramsey and husband Gaithern of Blacksburg, SC, and Ponice Willard of Gaffney. Mrs. Peeler was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Sparks and two brothers, J. D. Durham and Marvin Durham.
