Luis " Lou" Salas, surrounded by family, passed away peacefully January 30, 2025, age 99, at Worthington Manor in Conroe, Texas, where he received exceptional care. He is preceded in death by Virginia "Ginny" Salas, his lovely wife of 63 years and mother of their five children. Memorial events are private

Dad was touched by his best friend's memorial in which his friend's ashes were spread in the ocean. While Dad never specified his wishes, our family feels it is fitting to release his and Mom's ashes together in the Atlantic where he experienced so much joy on the water with loved ones. A private burial at sea for immediate family is tentatively planned for later this year in South Florida. We welcome you to share your thoughts, memories of Lou, and any photos you wish on this memorial website as we celebrate his life together. Thank you.
