It is with heavy hearts that we share Ludmila "Luda" Dean (Dmitriew), 73, of Bancroft, ON, Canada, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 22, 2022 after a courageous battle with kidney cancer.

Luda was born on May 23, 1949 to Wjachslaw and Anna Dmitriew (Pivenska) in Forchies-la-Marche, Belgium. She dedicate her life to being a fantastic, supportive and wonderful wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother and friend to many.  Luda made it her mission to improve the lives of others whenever she could.  When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found behind her computer desk, reading a mystery novel or cooking meals for others in her community.  

 She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years William Richard Dean, children Tammie (Steve) Martin, Tanya Smith, Tasha (Brian) Bascom, Bill Dean JR (Rene) and Roy Dean. Memories of Luda will be cherished by her sister Rima, Brother David (Chris), grandchildren Laira (DJ) Jacynda (Thomas), Tristan (Yvonne), Elijah (Alicia) Milena, Domonic, Sienna, Alex, Kiana and great-grandsons Landon and Sklyer.  Luda gained 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren through marriage and loved them as her own. We will all miss her greatly. Pre-deceased by her parents, daughter Christine and grandson Jessie.

Family and friends are invited  to celebrate and remember Luda on Thursday June 30, 2022 at ViVa Church 71 Simcoe St. South, Oshawa ON.  Visitation will begin at 1030am with service starting at 11am. For those unable to attend please see link below for a live stream of the service. Internment at Mount Lawn Cemetery to follow.
