Lucy's obituary
Lucy Stukart was a devoted mother, beloved daughter, aunt, cousin and friend. Lucy passed away on January 27, 2022 at the age 91 in the Atlantic Coast rehabilitation center in Lakewood, NJ.
Lucy was born in East Harlem New York to Francesco and Rosa Branciforte on August 12, 1930. She worked as a seamstress in the garment district of Manhattan, as a secretary at the Diners Club International in New York and after moving to NJ she worked at Maidenform and at the hospitality shop in Bayonne Hospital.
Lucy was known for her kindness, her style and elegance and of course, her cooking. She had an extensive collection of hats, pins, scarves and necklaces, and there was no occasion to small to look her best. She was perhaps happiest hosting others, sharing conversation and keeping her guests well fed. She made an impact on those that only met her a few times, noting her soft smile and friendly wave.
Lucy was preceded in death by her mother Rosa, her father Francesco, her brothers Mike and Paulie, her sister Angie, and her ex-husband Eddie Stukart. She leaves behind her loving son Eric, her sister Virginia and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
