Lucy's obituary
Lucy was employed by the United States Army during World War II and later worked as a tailor/dressmaker. In 1977, she and her husband moved to Old Saybrook to raise their grandson Stephen C. Sacco. Lucy was active in the Saint John's Ladies' Guild and a charter member of the Old Saybrook Columbiettes.
Although she enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and gardening - she especially enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her vibrant personality, quick wit, and her fabulous Italian cooking.
Lucy is survived by her sisters Ida Hart and Mary Glavaz, as well as her children Alfred (and wife Diana), Joseph, Stephen J., Lucyann, Stephen C. (and wife Susan), and by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family expresses special thanks to the staff at Apple Rehab Old Saybrook for their compassionate care and kindness.
A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clinton, CT 06413. A private burial will be held.
