Lucy's obituary
Lucy suddenly passed away in the arms of her mommy in the early morning of Tuesday, September 12th, 2023.
With ice chunks in her fur, Lucy was rescued from the side of the road on March 12th, 2022 after being abandoned with her siblings. Luckily for them, the ultimate “crazy cat lady” saved them and helped them all to experience a second chance at life. From the beginning, Lucy made it clear that her rescuers arms is where she decided to remain forever by the love and gratitude that she expressed to her new mommy.
A lover of mommy’s fluffy bed, occasionally escaping out the front door when mommy opened it, batting treats out of her treat dispenser, licking Mom’s bath water from the tub, bird watching from any window, and even chasing squirrels and birds up the trees, one could easily argue that Lucy quickly became accustomed to her new lavish lifestyle. Sweet Lucy knew she was the queen and her sass proved it! From rags to riches, Lucy had anything a kitty could ever want. Some of her favorite things were: never-ending kisses and cuddles (sometimes against her will), a variety of all you can eat treats, her very own stainless steel water fountain containing only the most filtered and coldest water, snuggle and nap time with mommy, listening to the birds chirping, being given compliments of any kind, chasing string, watching Piper chase the laser pointer, prayer time with mommy, fresh bedding, admiring herself in the mirror, and just simply having the world revolve around her. But, above all, her favorite thing about her new lifestyle was going on super fun adventures and exploring outside with her mommy and Piper.
Lucy will be so greatly missed by everyone who loved her, but none more so than her mom. Lucy was rescued by her mom, but Lucy truly rescued her mom just as much, if not more! Though the pain in her grief and sorrow is so deep and unbearable, it in no way could compare to having never had her in her life the past year and a half. Walking through the front door will never be the same without Lucy there to welcome mommy home with a wet nosed head boop or scaling up mommy’s leg with excitement.
At the wishes of Lucy’s family, give your kitty an extra kiss, extra snuggle, and an extra treat.
