Background
I have started to type and deleted what I wrote so many times ... I think we are all in disbelief that everyones best friend soon will be missing from our lives. "Good dude" I keep hearing on repeat and that he is and more. Luke loved with his whole heart and he was loved whole heartedly by so many and our hearts are devastated. He is truly one of the best people we know. He is called Luckey Lucas, but I think we are the luckey ones.
Luke ...a great man, husband, father, brother and friend.
Luke was born with a rare blood condition called neutropenia which led to a blood cancer diagnosis in 2018. In 2019 he received a bone marrow transplant and since, he has put on the bravest face and fought so hard to stay with us. He has had many complications, set backs and added diagnoses in the past 5 years. Luke’s fight has never left him but his body has had the final say. Not once did he ever give up or have a bad attitude. Luke worked all the way up until he couldn't work anymore. His wife Megin has also had her fair share of health problems and has had 2 open heart surgeries. As you can imagine, the medical bills kept rolling in on top of every day life and Luke not being able to work has added stress on top of an already stressful time. With all that has went on in the past 5 years, they haven't asked for help often. Please consider making a donation to their family to help get them through this very difficult time. Any thing is helpful and so much appreciated. Thank you all for loving Luke and his family so well.
Luke is currently under palliative care until he is ready to enter eternity. His mom and Jan are waiting patiently for him, Megin's dad can’t wait to meet him and little Logan can’t wait to see her uncle Luke again.💔 Contribute
