Lucinda Ann Janda, 65, of Wharton, NJ , passed away on 8/24/2021 after a brief battle with Cancer. She was surrounded by her children.  Cindy was born on November 29, 1955 to Alfred and Jean Caloz in Teaneck, NJ. Cindy graduated from Hackettstown High School.  In 1973, she wed, and went on to have 5 children, Thomas Janda Jr, Lisa Basile, Nicole Janda, Kimberly Kettler and Sean Janda. Cindy was a fantastic and wonderful mother. She excelled at supporting members of her family  through the many passions and difficulties of their lives.   Cindy was a passionate collector throughout the years, and always loved sharing in her hobby whether it was Beanie Babies or her Keep Collective jewelry.  She was also an animal lover.  Growing up it was not hard to talk her into getting another pet, whether it was a hamster, guinea pig, bunny, snake, cat or dog.  She left behind her beloved dog Maggie, who she loved as much as any of her children.  Cindy was a woman who could just make people smile.  She had an energy about her that made you feel comfortable instantly.  She was a positive person, that would help out wherever and whenever she could, even if it was just sharing kind words or advice.   We will miss her greatly.   The family requests that in lieu of flowers, to consider donating to https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate or https://www.aspca.org/ways-to-give . There will be a celebration of life at 11am on Saturday 10/23/2021 at First Presbyterian Church- 35 Church St, Rockaway, NJ 07866.  There will be a short service, followed by lunch and refreshments.  Please dress casual, and bring any stories you would like to share.

• Grandchildren: Brandon Janda, Amber Garceau, Jenna Basile, Kole Janda, Tyler Basile, Austin Kettler, Alexis Kettler, Lincoln Nall, Charlotte Nall

• Beloved Dog Companion: Maggie
