Lucille's obituary

Lucille Williams-Seabrooke, daughter of Thomas K.C. Williams and Emma Lee Holly, passed away peacefully at the young age of 86 on 4 July 2023.

A devout Christian, Lucille was very active in many charitable organizations. For years, she worked at food banks, soup kitchens, and numerous charitable works for the homeless, people in need, and the elderly. She mostly worked through Calvary Chapel in Anaheim. Born in Anniston, Alabama of Black (Nigerian American), Miccosukee Seminole (Florida) and Scottish (Clan MacNicol) heritage, and raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Lucille was primarily a Pre-School Teacher, but was also a Nurse’s Aide, a song writer, and an artist. Many of her murals were on display for decades in the Pediatric Ward of Kings County Hospital. Lucille moved to Orange County, CA with her youngest son and grand-daughter in 1986 and eventually made Anaheim her home. Her favorite pass times were bingo and caring for many stray cats.

Lucille is survived by her sons, Brian Leon Seabrooke and Errik Tustenuggee Williams, her grand-daughter, DeFlame, four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She now lives in Heaven with her mother and father, 6 sisters, 4 brothers, and her son and daughter, Marc and Diana.

Lucille‘s final wish was to will her body to the UCI Willed Body Program. There is a memorial brick in her name at that location.
