Background

Lucile Smith worked for the Harlem School District in Machesney Park for over 40 years. During that time she served in many roles, most notably as a bus driver for special needs students. She loved her kids and dedicated much of her career caring for them, driving them to and from school, and continuing to spend time with them after they had graduated. She dedicated a significant part of her life to special-needs students. In her memory, we are establishing a scholarship fund for graduating seniors with special needs at Harlem High School. The funds would support the transition of these students to adult life, including career planning, finance education, and continued education. Contribute   Right arrow
