Lucas's obituary
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved son, boyfriend, and friend, who tragically died on April 13, 2018, following a motor vehicle accident involving two semi trucks. Lucas Broker's, born on February 21, 2003, was a gifted, bright, and unique soul taken far too soon. His sudden passing has left family, friends, and the community in deep shock and mourning.
The accident occurred while Lucas and his family were in the process of moving to Findlay, Ohio. At the time of the collision, Lucas was traveling with his father, Greg Broker's (39), and his daughter, Adeline Broker's (3). Lucas and his beloved daughter, Adeline, both lost their lives in the accident. His father survived.
Lucas Broker's was known for being kind, sweet, and deeply compassionate. He had a strong love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and hiking. He took pride in preparing and eating fresh-cooked game from his hunts, finding peace and fulfillment in nature. Inspired by his love of the outdoors and his desire to serve, he often shared that he hoped to join the United States Marine Corps one day, drawn to its reputation for strength, resilience, and operating in challenging environments.
He leaves behind a large circle of loved ones who are grieving this heartbreaking loss, including his father, Greg Broker's (39); his sisters, Hallie Broker's (14) and Emily Broker's (12); his twin brother, Luca Broker's (15); Tessa Oates (9), who held a special place in his heart; and his best friend, Markus Houseman (10).
