I met Luann when I was 5 years old not long after to brought the Olympic Gold Medal home to the USA. My parents owned the resort next to the one where Luann and Louise lived at the time. I was so thrilled to see her and to get to hold her Gold Medal! Truly a fantastic childhood memory! She was very kind, as was her mom, Louise. I am very sad to have just found out about her passing. My heart goes out to her family.
