Our hearts will ALWAYS remember Jake as a favorite loved cousin.
Wonderful Jake. We are so happy to read about Jake’s life and to know more about the great man we met these last few years. Sending so much love to all of the family as you grieve and celebrate the life of this beautiful human ♥️🙏
Helen…I am so sorry for your loss.  I was very sad to hear of Jake’s passing.  My heart goes out to you and your family.

Thanks for posting all these pics and remembrances, Tudy. Uncle Jake was always a titan of a man to me. When I think of him I think of his humor and fun-loving, joking nature. I think of his value and commitment to family, adventure, and hard work. Most of my memories of being a kid in Minnesota, are of being at your house in Maple Grove and the generous, welcoming, matter-of-fact love I felt from you both. I'll miss him, and I'm sending you love during this big transition. ❤️

My grandchildren have written such wonderful remembrances of their grandfather. I'm pasting them here:

From Chrissy: My grandpa was a really special guy. He loved spending time with his family and I have so many amazing memories of him showing up for me and loving me in the loudest and silliest ways. He was always larger than life, the most fun person in the room, always able to make me laugh, and one of my favorite people.

I just can't believe you're gone. I love you, Grandpa.

From Matt: Haven't been on on Facebook much in quite some time, but I just wanted to share some thoughts on my grandpa, who passed away this past weekend. A lot of things I love about myself come directly from him and his influence. He was a big goofy kid at heart, who loved his family and could easily find joy and laughter in the simplest of things. Endless hours of my childhood were spent in my grandparents living room, bouncing a koosh ball (or 3 or 4 for maximum chaos) around the room, cheering every good hit, and laughing at every fumble. I'm not sure what our record was, because honestly we all had too much fun to even try counting. Those memories are just as amazing as the time we went to Disneyland, or to Sequoia National Park, or any of countless camping trips up north. He was a man who filled his plate at the buffet of life, and went back for seconds. And thirds! Much like any time we went to Old County Buffet! He will be greatly missed, though all of us who knew him will surely bring a little of his brand of goofy chaos and larger than life laughter with us wherever we go.
