Louise's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Marie Golder, who departed this life on December 27, 2023. Born on April 8, 1939 to Carl and Marie Eisemann, her spirit and strength were the bedrock of our family and she will be deeply missed.
A devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife, Louise's love for her family matched only her love for life itself. She inspired everyone around her with her resilience, laughter, and unwavering support. Her passing leaves a void that will never be filled.
Her love and memories live on through her daughters, Linda Lorello (Frank) and Lori Van Houten (Gregory); her son John Golder; her granddaughters: Brittany Halperin, Victoria Hicks (Steven), Jamie Lacy (Ross), and Rebecca Van Houten; her grandson Geoffrey Van Houten; and her great-grandchildren Skyler, Troy, and Tucker. Each of them was a source of immense joy and pride for Louise, and her fierce love for them was evident to all who knew her.
Louise was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Alan Golder. Their love story was one of true partnership and mutual respect, providing a strong foundation for their family. She was also predeceased by her first daughter, Sandra Halperin. Despite the sadness of her loss, we take comfort in knowing that they are reunited once more.
As we mourn Louise's passing, we also celebrate her life, honoring the love, wisdom, generosity, and laughter she gave so freely to us all. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
Celebrations of life with family and friends were held on April 6, 2024, at her home in Mechanicsville VA, and on May 6, 2024, at her daughter's home in NY. An interment of ashes ceremony was held on May 6, 2024, in Calverton National Cemetery on Long Island NY, besides her beloved husband Alan who predeceased her.
