Louise's obituary
Louise Eddleman Gahagan, 84, of Mansfield, Texas, went home on February 12, 2026, held close by the family she devoted her life to.
Born in 1941 in Ellenwood, Kansas, Louise found her way to Fort Worth — and to Dan Gahagan, the man she would spend her life beside. Together they made a home in Arlington, Texas, where they raised their family and built a life full of intention and love. Some of their sweetest memories were made on trips to Red River, New Mexico, where the mountains and quiet gave them exactly what they needed.
Louise was a woman of faith, style, and warmth. Her Catholic faith anchored her, and her home always reflected her eye for beauty. She had a gift for making any room feel elegant and welcoming. She was never without her hair done just right, her jewelry chosen with care, her appearance as polished as her character. And yet for all that elegance, her favorite place was simple: sitting beside Dan at the pond as evening settled in, the two of them needing nothing more than each other.
After Dan’s passing in 2020, Louise moved in with her daughter Laura and son-in-law Brad, where she lived her final years with love and care. She often said she was deeply blessed with the joy of knowing and loving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren
She is survived by her brother Matt Eddleman (wife Traci) of Duncan, Oklahoma; son Paul "Hank" Graham (wife Claire) of Fort Worth, TX; daughter Laura Wright (husband Brad) of Mansfield, TX; son Mark Whited (wife Rhonda) of Dickinson, TX; six grandchildren, their spouses; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Claire Eddleman; her husband, Dan Gahagan; her sister, Marian Shartouny; her brother, Tom Eddleman; and her beloved son, John Graham
